General Information For the 2007-2008 season Portsmouth Youth Basketball will consist of three divisions. Each division is formed based on grade level (not age). The registration fee for the 2007-2008 Portsmouth Youth Basketball season is as follows:
Rookies (Grades 2nd & 3rd): Co-ed - $85
NCAA (Grades 4th & 5th): Individual Girl & Boy Teams - $90
NBA (Grades 6th, 7th & 8th): Individual Girl & Boy Teams - $95
On-Line Registration
The preferred method of registration for PYB is by using the On-Line Registration feature. You will be able to complete your registration payment by using your credit card in a secure transaction.

If you would like to pay by check, please download the Registration and Medical Release form and send the completed form with your payment to Portsmouth Youth Basketball, PO Box 171, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Checks may be made payable to Portsmouth Youth Basketball.
Registration & Medical Release Forms On-line and mail in registration closes Friday, November 23rd. Each player must have a completed and paid Registration prior to the start of the season, December 1st. In addition, all Medical Release information on the registration form must be completed (one per child) prior to the player participating in the skills evaluation.

Fees & Equipment
Each player will be given a game jersey as part of their registration fee. In addition, each player registered in PYB will be eligible to participate in a skills competition at the end of the season (more information to follow). PYB registration fees also help to offset costs associated with facilities, equipment, insurance and officials.
Please have your child bring a basketball (please see size chart below), water bottle, dress in comfortable gym clothing and wear basketball sneakers.
